MEET THE EXPERTS: Newborn Hearing Screening

Hearing loss being a silent disability particularly in infants and young children shows how necessary pediatric hearing screening is. With the outcome of audiologic management being highly dependent on early detection and identification, infant and pediatric hearing screening is a valuable approach for infants and children to overcome hearing disability. This opportunity to Meet the Experts in Infant and Hearing Screening will allow participants to informally ask questions about hearing screening protocols, tools and measures for infants and young children.

  • Identify and describe the rationale of the different screening tools for hearing loss in infants, toddlers, young children, and children in school
  • Understand the design and implementation of an assessment plan for infants and young children
  • Analyze results and develop an empirical and expert opinion based management
