Strategies for English Language, Listening and Speech Development
Explore strategies to assess and facilitate the listening, speech, and English language skills of students who are deaf or hard of hearing used at Northwest School for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Students (Seattle area). View photos and film clips to gain useful instructional practices that nurture a communication-rich environment within academic activities. Opportunity to practice in pairs and small groups, and ask individual questions will be incorporated into the presentation as time allows.
A handout of the strategies is provided.
